Test Procedures–Certified Burglary Resistance
Through rigorous independent testing, Axon Business Systems LLC has proven the level of burglary resistance of its safes and vaults. The security rating system consists of grades ranging from 0 to VI for safes and XIII for vaults (so that you may ensure the protection of your valuables in accordance with internationally recognized standards).
Burglary Tests – Certified Protection for Insurance Compliance
For insurance purposes, Axon Business Systems LLC assigns a burglary resistance grade to all of its safes and vaults, which enables them to insure your items at the full value of their contents if you have the appropriate grade of safe or vault. The accredited institutes test the ability to break into a safe or vault using several different factors (e.g., dimensions and effectiveness of tools used during a break-in), the length of time it takes to attempt a break-in, and the ability of the individual trying to break into a safe/vault. Therefore, these measures will ensure that every Axon Business Systems LLC safe and vault meets the recognized security standards of the world and provides the maximum level of protection.
Fire Endurance Tests – Simulating Real Office Fires
To guarantee document and digital media protection, our fireproof safes are subjected to extreme testing conditions. During the Fire Endurance test, the safe is placed in a furnace at an approximate temperature of 1000°C for a realistic representation of what would occur in an office-type fire. What is most important is that our Safes endure through both the Fire and Cooling stages to receive full certification as meeting the ISO standard of safe performance, as stated by Foreign Insurance Providers in this country.
Fire Impact Tests – Protection Against Structural Fire Damage
Fire safety does not only include temperature levels. Safes are also subjected to structural impact testing for damage resulting from falling through floors or ceilings. MANUAL ATTACK TESTS
These tests are determining the resistance of security doors according to EN 1627 (for windows, doors and shutters) and EN 356 (for security glazing). EN 1627 standard provides 3 resistance tests:
1.) Resistance to static loading (in accordance to EN 1628 standard) |
2.) Resistance to dynamic loading (in accordance to EN 1629 standard) |
3.) Resistance to manual attacks (in accordance to EN 1630 standard) |
For EN 1630, 6 classification levels are defined based upon tools used (drilling machine, electric tools) and resistance time. EN 356 standard defines 8 levels for resistance against vandalism object or attempted manual attacks (from P1A to P5A and from P6B to P8B).
BALLISTIC TESTS
There are two main standards: The EN 1522 standard for windows, doors, shutters and blinds defines 7 resistance levels for pistols, rifles and assault rifles (from FB1 to FB7) and for shotguns (FSG). The EN 1963 standard for security glazing specifies 7 resistance levels for pistols, and for pistols and rifles (from BR1 to BR7) and 2 resistance levels for shotguns (SG1 and SG2). If the level numbers are followed by an “S”, it means the security glazing failed the projection test (with splinters). If they are followed by an “NS”, it means the glazing passed the test (without splinters).

Fire Protection – Endurance and Impact Tests
Safety is the primary focus of Axon Business Systems LLC Accu-Fire Safes; therefore, Axon Business Systems LLC conducts multiple fire resistance tests on their fire-resistant safes to ensure they will withstand the rigours that occur during a fire.
- Fire Endurance Testing – Simulates a ‘true to life’ fire in an office setting, where temperatures reach 1000 degrees Celsius and include a cooling cycle period to simulate how heat continues to spread after a fire is put out. All items stored in the fire-resistant safe are completely unaffected.
- Fire Impact Testing – The construction of the fire-resistant safe is evaluated for structural fire damage, such as during a fall from a building or floor. All confidential documents, cash, and digital records are still viable.
